This is the bullshit corporate mantra they're feeding to their sales team though. Intuit will lock you out of the program if you don't pay up on the extortion, but fear not, your company file is still available for you to take to another machine and open it there. Just thinking out loud here for some cost effective ideas for a small sole prop business. New year would be the start of a new workbook. ![]() You could also have a tab that is a summary of all contained invoices in that workbook, and that is where you could mark which invoices have been paid and which have not. ![]() Re: invoices: I would create a spreadsheet containing an invoicing template on a tab, and then create a copy of it onto a new tab to modify and export as a PDF to share with the client. Then you just have to manually note that the invoice was paid. You can create a new email address to set up to receive email transfers automatically, so that you don’t have to manually deposit it. You don’t need to pay for this type of function.Īs for receiving payments, I’m in Canada where banks offer easy email transfers. that's almost $500/yr.Ībout time tracking: I use a time sheet in Google Sheets that I created and have been using for three years now. Also, if I want the time tracking I have to pay for an add-on called Quickbooks Time which is another $10/month. That means eventually I will be paying $360/year. I own multiple software products that do not charge such insane prices for updates. I JUST BOUGHT version 2022 because my 2019 was end of life. They said if I don't pay the annual fee the software will stop working and I will not be able to open my company file. I got in the Quickbooks chat and asked them what this meant. I have desktop version Quickbooks Pro Plus 2022 and I'm getting emails from Quickbooks telling me my subscription will be cancelled Apif I don't pay $549?!?!
